The New Balance 530 Grey Matter comes with an upper that is primarily mesh. It has leather overlays in a Grey Matter and Harbor Grey colorway that has white and black accents. The shoe features the "N" logo on the quarter panels in Grey Matter with a white outline. Harbor Grey and Grey Matter leather overlays form a cage on the shoe, which uses grey laces for closure. A black heel loop tab contrasts the grey padded collar and features two grey vertical stripes. The shoe also features a "530" logo overlay on the lateral heel in Harbor Grey with white outlining. The outer sole is made of black rubber and contrasts the grey foam midsole.
